Elana Luban, LCSW

I’m a telehealth therapist who’s passionate about providing individualized treatment to fit my clients’ specific goals. I have a compassionate, non-preachy approach but don’t believe in letting my clients coast by without doing any self-work as I sit back, silently nodding.

I am certified in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), both of which I offer via telehealth. I believe that central to our struggles are our unmet needs, some past, some current, which have led us to compulsive/addictive behaviors and unhealthy attachments. I’ve been told that my greatest strengths are my sincerity, passion for what I do, and willingness to go the extra mile. If you’re my client, I’m rooting for you 100% and here to support you in your life goals to the best of my ability. This is more than a 9-5 to me.

Therapeutic Approach

The modalities that have been the most effective, in my experience, are EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapy, which basically means tuning into the bodily experience, not just the mind, when we process our feelings.

For sex therapy clients, I typically draw from Sensate and Sensate Focus. If you have a different preferred intervention, let me know!
